SHIKARPUR: Traditional practice of honour killing is continue in Sindh mainly in Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Larkana, Sukkur, Ghotki, and other districts of province in this regard a large number of women have been killed and a number of women sustained grave bullet wounds on the pretext of honor killing same awful practice claimed further two lives of real female cousins at village Jaan Muhammad Lashari next to Dakhan Town of Shikarpur district in the precinct of Bado Police Station where two male cousins allegedly shot their female cousins dead on suspicion of having illicit relations with their relatives, wee hours here on Friday.
Mumtaz Channa, the Station House Officer of aforesaid Police Station, corroborated that two real female cousins identified as Zameera, of 18, daughter of Punhal and Haleema, aged around 16, daughter of Khan Muhammad Lashari by caste were shot dead by their real cousins named Nisar Ahmed and Aamir Ali, real cousins, by caste Lashari, with shotgun over having illicit relations with Khalid and Ali Gohar Lashari and managed to escape from place of incident.
Following the information, area police transported the bodies to Ghari Yasin Taluka Hospital for autopsies and handed over to their heirs after conducting necessary medical legal formalities and initiated manhunt to arrest the killers and police have succeeded in arresting both suspect Nisar and Aamir Lashari and recovered shotgun from their possession, SHO informed. Also, both arrested Nisar and Aamir Lashair have confessed their involvement in murder, SHO claimed and concluded.
An FIR [11/2019] under section 302-311 has been lodged against both arrested accused on the behalf of state at Bado Police Station and both suspects would be presented before concerned honorable court of Shikarpur. The notable of city Shikarpur expressed their deep concern over the loss of two precious lives of women in Shikarpur and asked for the higher authorities to start awareness programs against honour killing so that the precious lives of innocent women could be saved.
