Hudaibiya case: Supreme Court to start hearing NAB’s appeal on Monday

ISLAMABAD: The Chief Justice of Supreme Court has formed a three-member bench to start hearing the appeal of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against the Lahore High Court decision for the cancelling the Hudaibiya Paper Mills case against the Sharif family.

Chief Justice formed three member headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa and the other member of the bench are Justice Dost Mohammad Khan and Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel and the bench will start hearing the case from Monday on November 13.

Earlier on September 20, NAB filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the LHC decision in the Hidaibya paper mills case and naming former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, CM Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif and his son MNA Hamza Shehbaz, and other family members as respondents.

In the appeal NAB has requested to cancel the LHC decision of cancelling the case and order a reinvestigation into the scam as per the new evidence after the finding of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report in the Panama case.

Chief of Awamai Muslim League, Sheikh Rasheed had filed appeal to reopen the Hadaibiya paper mills case against the members of Sharif family and NAB assured the SC that it file a case in this regard.

Sheikh Rasheed claimed that the Hudaibiya case is the mother of all corruption and it will clearly show the true of PML-N.
