Huge fire breaks out in Abbottabad forests

ABBOTTABAD: A huge fire broke out in Chahan forests in Abbottabad district on Tuesday, burning down dozens of trees and plants.

According to the local administration and firefighters, the blaze engulfed almost the entire forest. A day earlier, a fire erupted in the forests of Banda Pir Khan, leaving poultry farm and cattle pen in ashes.

Firefighters were busy dousing flames to prevent it from spreading. Fire incidents in KP forests are a routine in winter season.
