Hundreds of Indonesians protest against US move on Jerusalem

JAKARTA: Thousands of Indonesian protested in front of US Embassy in Jakarta on Sunday against US President Donald Trump decision for recognizing Jerusalem as capital of Israel and the protestors were waving banners saying Palestine is in our hearts.

Indonesia is the home to the world largest Muslim population condemned the US move on Jerusalem and leaders of Indonesia told that the recent move of President Trump is the big blow to world peace and it will spark the violence.

Yusri, one of the protestors told International news agency that US President has disrupted world peace and it’s terrible.

He added that it was injustice towards Palestinian people and to the whole Muslims community. The protestors demanded to take back decision regarding Jerusalem move.

Violence erupted for a third day in Gaza on Saturday in response to Trump’s decision, which overturned decades of US policy towards the Middle East.

Indonesia’s foreign minister left for Jordan on Sunday to meet the Palestinian and Jordanian foreign ministers to convey Indonesia’s full support for Palestine.
