F.P. Report
LAHORE: Renowned actor Syed Jibran, celebrated for his compelling roles in dramas like Neem and Chup Raho, recently shared a harrowing experience that left fans and audiences stunned.
During an appearance on the comedy show ‘Hasna Mana Hai’, Jibran recounted a near-fatal incident that occurred while filming a scene at Adiala Jail.
Jibran described shooting a sequence where his character was to be executed by hanging. Dressed in costume with a black hood over his head, he stood on a hanging platform.
The scene initially went as planned, but the director rejected the take because the trapdoor’s lever malfunctioned. The crew decided to reshoot, instructing Jibran to step off the platform to film the lever pull separately.
Moments after he stepped down, the lever was accidentally triggered, causing the trapdoor to drop open.
“Had I still been standing there, I wouldn’t be here today,” Jibran said, his voice heavy with emotion. The crew fell silent, shaken by the near-tragedy. The director immediately advised Jibran to give sadqa (charity) in gratitude for his miraculous escape.
The incident underscores the hidden dangers actors face during production, revealing the risks behind the polished scenes viewers enjoy.
Jibran’s chilling story resonated deeply with fans, who took to social media to express relief and offer prayers for his safety.
