IAEA next session will open on November 25

VIENNA (TASS): The next session of the Board of Governors of the Internati-onal Atomic Energy Agen-cy (IAEA SU) will open on November 25 this year. This was announced on Monday by the Permanent Mission of Russia to international organizations in Vienna on Twitter .
“Meetings of the [IAEA Board of Governors] Com-mittee on Technical Assist-ance and Cooperation will begin on November 22. The next session of the [IAEA Board of Governors] will open on November 25,” the publication said.
The Permanent Mission also noted that Shin Chae Hyun, Permanent Represe-ntative of the Republic of Korea to international organizations in Vienna, was elected Chairman of the IAEA SU for 2021-2022. His deputies were Permanent Representative of Poland Dominika Krois and her colleague from Colombia Miguel Camilo Ruiz Blanco.
On Monday, the Iranian authorities urged the IAEA not to undermine the constructive process on the nuclear sector with biased reports. This is how they reacted to the agency’s report released on Sunday, in which it said that Tehran did not allow IAEA inspectors to enter the facility in Iran’s Keredj for the production of centrifuge components.
According to the agency, this action contradicts the terms of a joint statement published on September 12 by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi and the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami.
AEOI spokesman Behruz Kamalwandi said that Grossi and his colleagues “are well aware that the joint statement agreement does not include surveillance equipment (cameras) at the Kerj facility, as there is an investigation into June sabotage at the facility.”
