F.P. Report

KARACHI: International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday announced that it was planning for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup to go ahead as scheduled.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from 18 October to 15 November 2020 at seven venues across Australia. “In response to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 Local Organising Committee is monitoring the situation closely with relevant authorities, and will continue to do so,” ICC announced. COVID-19, commonly known as coronavirus, has forced stop several sports events across the globe as the life threatening virus is highly contagious and health experts have advised to prevent any large gatherings. More than 7000 lives have been lost to the virus while the number of persons affected by the virus has crossed 180,000 worldwide.
