IDB, ITFC assure Hakimi full support for uplift plans

KABUL: Finance Minister Eklil Hakimi during his visit to Tunisia separately met with Dr. Bandar M. H. Hajjar, President of Islamic Development Bank and Eng. Hani Salem Sonbol, CEO of International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC).

They discussed IDB cooperation for development of Afghanistan, preparations of Afghan Government for membership in ITFC and the bank’s projects in Afghanistan especially Solar Energy, Ring Road and Mazar-Herat Railway.

Additionally, they also talked about acceleration of finalizing process of small loan by the bank, marketing for Afghan products, technical cooperation in export sector and other relevant issues.

Lastly, the President of the Islamic Development Bank and CEO of International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation assured of their full cooperation for development of Afghanistan.
