KABUL (Agencies): The country’s Foreign Ministry, in statement asked the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) to cooperate in searching and transporting the bodies of those Afghans who recently drowned in Italian waters.

“We regretfully learned that nearly eighty Afghan nationals, including women and children, who were traveling by sea from Turkey to Italy in a wooden boat, have died as a result of their boat sinking. The Islamic Emirate prays for forgiveness for the martyrs and patience for their families and relatives, added to the statement.
The country’s Foreign Ministry once again asks all Afghans citizens to refrain from traveling to other countries through illegal migration routes.
