IEA is not against girls’ education, says Deputy PM

KABUL (Agencies): The Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, in a meeting with the board of private universities association, said that the Islamic Emirate is not against girls’ education and is striving to end the delay as soon as possible.
The representatives of the private universities deemed the strengthening of the real Islamic system as the desire of Afghans, saying that they are ready for any cooperation for the strength of the Islamic system in the country, according to a statement released by Arg.
They claimed investing in the higher education sector in this dire time for the sake of people’s literacy and the country’s progress.
They demanded the reopening of schools gate and universities to girls and shared their suggestions and advice on the matter, adding that Afghanistan needs to become self-sufficient in the economic and scientific sectors.
Meanwhile, Kabir said, Afghanistan and the Islamic Emirate are the common home of all Afghans, and every Afghan has the right to offer opinions and advice.
He said that the Islamic Emirate is not against girls’ education and is striving to end the delay as soon as possible.
Afghanistan needs committed cadres in various sectors and assured that their requests and suggestions will be measured.
