IGP directs police officers to ensure security without discrimination

PESHAWAR: The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi addressed the Peshawar based SHOs, SDPOs, and divisional SPs through a video link conference held at CPO Peshawar on Monday.

Additional IGP Operations, Additional IGP HQRs, DIG HQRs, DIG Operations, AIG Operations and PSO to IGP were also present on this occasion. CCPO and his team participated in the conference from police lines Peshawar via video link.

The IGP sensitized the participants on police policy guidelines and directed them to fully implement it and establish the writ of the govt at all costs. They were also directed to further beef up security measures in the last part of Ramadan and during Eid-ul-Fitr and implement govt SOPs and lock down policy against Covid-19 effectively and register cases against the violators. The IGP directed the participants to dispose of case properties including vehicles, narcotics and arms as per law immediately and send report to CPO at the earliest.

The SHOs were particularly directed to make police stations safe heaven for the complainants, especially for oppressed and depressed sections of the society and win their hearts and minds through decent behavior as well as solve their confronting problems with smiling face. The IGP informed that Peshawar police is the face of the KP police and directed them to set an example of good and role model policing for others to follow.

The IGP also directed for profiling of the police and those enjoying good reputation and education should be posted on priority basis so as to make best use of their experience and ability in the field.
