ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday suspended victory notifications of three National Assembly constituencies from the federal capital.
The decision was pronounced by IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq, suspending the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) returned candidate notifications of all the three constituencies of Islamabad.
The court gave its ruling on the intra-court appeals filed by the PTI-backed three independent candidates of all the three NA constituencies against result notifications issued by the ECP.
IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq was hearing the petitions of Amir Mughal, Shoaib Shaheen and Mohammad Ali Bukhari.
They challenged the the notifications issued by the ECP that declared their opponents Anjum Aqeel Khan, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Raja Khurram Shahzad Nawaz as returned candidates from NA-46, NA-47 and NA-48 respectively.
