LAHORE: Imran Khan said on Wednesday that there is no such thing as lifetime founder or ‘quaid’ in any other political party, criticizing the decision of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to elect Nawaz Sharif on this position.
He said, “Nothing like lifetime quaid (founder) in any party.” Nawaz Sharif was picked as PML-N s ‘quaid’ for life during yesterday s Central Working Committee.
During a press conference in Lahore, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman said the whole Pakistan condemned resolution against National Accountability Bu-reau (NAB) in Punjab Assembly.
“Nawaz Sharif is destroying all national institutions to hide his corruption,” he added, stressing that Sharif family has become a mafia now which is going against NAB and Supreme Court.
He also took a hit at the Punjab CM and newly appointed PML-N president, Shehbaz Sharif, questioning him over the expenditures in last nine years.
He recalled that Abid Boxer also claimed to conduct extra-judicial killings on the orders of Shehbaz.
“PTI government in future will take Shehbaz Sharif accountable,” he hoped.
Imran Khan supported the estranged PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar, saying that he is right by not working with Maryam Nawaz, the ex-PM’s daughter. Earlier, he questioned NAB’s inaction against Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif despite the presence of ‘undeniable evidence’ against him.
