IMC signs MoU with Civil Hospital

KARACHI: Indus Motor Company (IMC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dr. Ruth K. M. Pfau Civil Hospital, commonly known as Civil Hospital, with an objective to innovate and realize better shelter options in the premises for the attendants of hospitalized patients.

It will provide the framework for a partnership between the Civil Hospital and IMC for undertaking fabrication of a number of shelters inside the hospital as per the design approved by IMC. All these shelters would be meant only for the attendants of patients hospitalized there.

Expressing his views, IMC Chief Executive Officer Ali AsgharJamali said, “We are elated to have an opportunity to do our part in fostering a responsible society. We at IMC, take utmost pride in always striving to lead the way and setting an example through our corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Through the MoU today, we proudly reaffirm our commitment to the people of Pakistan and will continue to do everything possible to improve our environment.”

The Civil hospital is a teaching hospital affiliated with the Dow University of Health Sciences. It is the largest teaching hospital of Pakistan, catering not only to all areas of the province of Sindh but the neighboring province of Balochistan as well. The 1,800-bed tertiary care public facility imparts both, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training, and is currently being run under the jurisdiction of the provincial government of Sindh.
