IMC wins CSR Award 2020

KARACHI: Indus Motor Company (IMC) has won the Corporate Social Responsibility Award 2020, for its contribution towards sustainable development of society which has been recognized by the National Forum for Environment & Health, Karachi.

The Award Distribution Ceremony was held at a local hotel in Islamabad. Mr. Malik AmeenAslam, Federal Minister and Adviser to Prime Minister of Pakistan for Climate Change graced the event and handed over the prize shield to all recipients. Mr. Babar Salim Khan, Chief Regulatory Officer, IMC received the Award on behalf of the company.

Commenting on the win, IMC Chief Executive Officer, Ali AsgharJamali said, “It is a moment of joy for us to be recognized again by NFEH. This honor that has been bestowed on us again goes a long way to show the commitment we have for our environment and society. We take pride at Indus Motors in our CSR initiatives and have always strived to set an example as a leader in corporate social responsibility.” He further added, “IMC reaffirms its commitment to the people of Pakistan and will always do everything possible to improve our environment.”

Indus Motor Company identifies itself as a socially responsible corporate citizen, investing in initiatives beyond simply manufacturing cars. IMC’s predominant concerns beyond cars include the transfer of knowledge, health care, road safety, innovative technologies and sustainable cities.

The National Forum for Environment & Health presented the CSR Award to Indus Motor Company in recognition of its outstanding CSR services over the year and how these services have benefitted the community in which it operates.

Indus Motor Company has won NFEH Awards for its contribution to health, education and CSR in previous years as well.
