IMF sets Executive Board Date regarding Three-Year Program Under the Extended Fund Facility for Suriname

Washington, DC: Statement by International Monetary Fund Mission Chief for Suriname Mr. Ding Ding: “An IMF Executive Board meeting has been scheduled for December 22nd, 2021 to consider the Surinamese authorities’ request for a 36-month Arrangement under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) with access of 366.8 percent of quota (equivalent to SDR 472.8 million or USD 688 million).

If approved by the IMF Executive Board, SDR 39.4 million (about US$ 56.4 million) would be immediately available for Suriname. A Staff-Level Agreement on this Fund-supported program was reached on April 29, 2021. The Executive Board was updated on developments on Suriname on July 29, 2021.”
