Imran can go to any extent to become PM: Bilawal

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson Imran Khan is ready to do anything that would take him to the Prime Minister House from his residence in Banigala, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Sunday.

Addressing a rally in Zangli area of Peshawar, Bilawal also criticised former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, saying he “has stuck to his seat” despite being ousted.

“The inept federal government has not done anything but deceive the public,” he said. “No section of the country is pleased with the government’s policies.”

He said that Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are responsible for filthy politics in Pakistan. Both parties are using politics for personal gains and do nothing for the masses.

Bilawal accused KP government of destroying all the development projects in the province. He said Billion Tree campaign did not give the province lush greenery however but helped the leaders to fill their pockets.

“Imran Khan’s slogan of change is a farce,” “There’s no bigger liar than Khan; he is an anarchist.”

How can a man who has no control over what he says can lead a profound nation such as Pakistan’s, Bilawal questioned.

He went on to accuse the PTI chief of using KP’s resources to propel his politics in Sindh and Punjab. “Imran is bent upon coming into power at all costs.”

Had there been any real progress, he continued, millions of people would have been employed and there would have been prosperity in the province. “The PTI-led KP government did not set up a single hospital in the past four years,” he added.

Bilawal asked his supporters to make their choice wisely and elect the right person in the forthcoming poll to lead them.

Bilawal added the economic situation of the country would improve when there are employment opportunities for the people. “There would be no progress if people, including farmers and pensioners, are in crisis.”

However, Bilawal said, October 26 is the day when public will get to decide for themselves. “We will be contesting elections against two parties that are in government,” he said. “You have to decide who served and gave you an identity.”
