F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has said that Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif and Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah should resign for killing the innocent in the Model Town Lahore incident in 2014.

Imran Khan said on Wednesday that after the release of the Justice Baqir Najfi report there is no moral ground left for CM Shahbaz and Law minister Sanaullah to work continue work on their slots.

This he said while sharing his views on his twitter account. Imran Khan added that now it is crystal clear that Shahbaz Sharif and Sanaullah are behind the killing of innocent Pakistanis in model town incident in 2014.

Earlier, o

n Tuesday, the Lahore High Court ordered the Punjab government to release the inquiry report into the Model Town incident, in which 14 workers of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek were killed and around 100 injured during police action.

In the report, Justice Najafi, while terming the June 2014 tragedy in the “most unfortunate incident” in the country’s history, said the police tried to cover up the facts regarding who gave orders to open fire on protesters.

Sanaullah rejected the report and termed it full of flaws as it is based on secondary evidence, which is not admissible as per the Evidence Act.
