Imran Khan should be disqualified: Ayesha Gulalai

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Estranged PTI leader Ayesha Gulalai said on Friday that party chief Imran Khan should be disqualified since there were quite discrepancies in his case.

Speaking to a private television channel, Gulalai said that Imran Khan was a habitual liar. “First he lied about his offshore company and then he told the court that there was no such thing as a loan between husband and wife,” she said.

Gulalai said that Imran Khan should have been disqualified a long time ago since his words and actions are always in contradiction with each other.

All eyes are on the Supreme Court of Pakistan today (Friday) as the decision of the Imran Khan, Jahangir Tareen disqualification case will be announced.

After the disqualification of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif due to the Panama Papers scandal, this is the most important case that political experts and pundits have been keeping a keen eye on.

Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen can both be disqualified on grounds of the existential evidence. However, that is not the only decision that may be announced. The court can also dismiss petitions against Imran and Tareen citing lack of evidence.
