Imran thanks people of Lahore for not letting him down

F.P. Report

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan has thanked Lahorites for making Minar-e-Pakistan rally a success.

In his tweet, Imran Khan wrote: “Despite cabal of crooks locking down Lahore (see map) and arresting 2000 of our workers, people of Lahore came in huge numbers to make our 6th Minar-i-Pakistan jalsa a great success. I want to especially thank my Lahorites for not letting me down yet again. Proud of you.” A large number of party supporters attended the PTI rally despite the Punjab government’s sealed roads leading to Minar-e-Pakistan by placing containers and erecting barricades to stop them from reaching the place.

However, caretaker Punjab Information Minister Amir Mir denied that people were being restricted from going to the rally through barriers. On Saturday night, Imran Khan gave an ‘economic roadmap’ for the country’s prosperity in his address at a ‘historic’ jalsa at Lahore’s Minar-e-Pakistan.

Iran-Saudi deal a step initiated by Pakistan, concluded by China: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan while terming the recent agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia to restore diplomatic ties an important development has warned against the role of Zionist regime, which is the root cause of instability in the region. Imran Khan during an exclusive interview with IRNA on Sunday said the China brokered deal will have a significant impact on the region.

Congratulating Islamic Republic of Iran on the happy occasion of Nowruz, he said that being Prime Minister of Pakistan he paid an official visit to Iran in October 2019 with a one point agenda to de-escalate tensions in the region.

He added that the deal between Iran and Saudi Arabia is actually a step initiated by Pakistan and amicably concluded by China.

Imran Khan whose government was removed by a no-confidence motion in April 2022 warned against the role of spoilers in the region adding that Zionist regime has always tried to isolate Iran. Former Pakistani PM praised the role of late founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini for reviving the cause of Palestine through Al-Quds day adding that the role of Islamic world is unjustified towards Palestine and Kashmir.

He regretted that unfortunately usurpers are enjoying the full support of international powers, and said that Israel wants to divide the Muslim world by sowing the seed of discord among Muslim countries.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman said independence of Palestine is a complex challenge for the Muslim world.

Expressing his views on the current situation of Pakistan, he said that the country is going through a tough economic crisis.

It is pertinent to mention that government of Pakistan and its allied political parties have rejected the allegations of Imran Khan saying that the former PM is trying to prove himself above the law. They say elections will be held on time and Imran Khan should avoid provoking the masses.

Imran Khan during the interview said that only solution of Pakistan’s political crisis is free and fair election where people are free to elect their true representatives. NNI
