Imran to be responsible if any lawman hurt, says Maryam Nawaz

F.P. Report

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said if any police official is injured in Zaman Park, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan will be responsible, on Tuesday.

Keeping in view the present scuffle between the police and PTI activists in Zaman Park, Maryam Nawaz in a tweet cautioned if any police officer or jawan is injured in Zaman Park today, Imran will be responsible. She added the sons of the nation are not redundant, they are doing their duty.

Pertinent to mention, lawmen and PTI workers are clashing as a heavy contingent of police has reached Zaman Park to arrest former prime minister Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case.

A team of Islamabad police has been in Lahore since yesterday to comply with the court orders to arrest the PTI chairman Imran Khan — who faces a number of cases in different cities.

The police are using batons and water cannons to disperse the party’s workers as they move ahead in their quest to arrest Khan.

Till the filing of this report, the police have almost sealed all areas leading to Zaman Park, where the PTI chairman lives, party workers in big groups carrying batons are there to block their leader’s arrest.
