ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Syed Khursheed Shah has said that the political leadership was targeted on the name of accountability.
Shah said this while addressing during the National Assembly session on Thursday, he strongly condemned arrest of Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani and asked, “Is this new Pakistan in which respected leaders are being detained in humiliating ways?”
He added that anything can be possible in this New Pakistan and said to NA Speaker Asad Qaiser ‘Mr Speaker! You should also be careful as it is new Pakistan’.
Regarding his party politics, he said that PPP has always worked for the benefit of the nation.
