Incoming coalition govt won’t last 10 months: Pir Pagara

HYDERABAD: Grand Democratic Alliances (GDA) leader Pir Pagara has said the new government will go no longer than eight or ten months and there may be martial law or emergency afterwards.

The Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) on Friday staged a sit-in in Jamshoro against alleged rigging in the general elections held on Feb 8. Addressing the protesters, GDA leader Pir Pagara said, “If Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder is a thief, then everyone is a thief.”

“There has been buying and selling in the election ?on large-scale.” “Where was the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Feb 8? If you do not give justice to the people, they will take their own decision,” Pagara said, adding Pak Army is our own military and we cannot leave it alone. GDA leader Liaquat Jatoi said Zardari had been given Sindh for the fourth time in the result of rigged elections.

“We are not orphans, we have fought for 15 years against the oppressive system,” he stated. GDA leader Saira Bano said after the mega election rigging, the chief election commissioner should go home. She said her leadership had spread the message of love but those who saw Pakistan with evil eye, their eyes would be plucked out.

GDA leader Arbab Ghulam Rahim stated the people joined the sit-in as per their own will and wish due to their love for the Pir Sahib. “They had come all the way from Thar to there on their own expenses and demanding free and fair elections to form a new government,” he concluded.

Balochistan highway leading to Sindh-Punjab blocked against poll rigging: Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) on Thursday blocked Balochistan National highway leading to Sindh and Punjab by burning tyres near Dera Rehman Jamali Rabi Pull area of Sibi against alleged election rigged election.

The protesters, led by central leader of JWP Nawabzada Guhram Bughti, blocked the National Highway near Dera Rehman Jamali Rabi Pull area of Sibi, pressing the authorities to issue results of Dera Bughti’s National Assembly and Provincial Assembly constituencies on merit.

Talking to media, former minister and JWP central leader Nawabzada Guhram Bughti said that instead of election, selection had taken place in Balochistan, adding that protest would continue till correct results of Dera Bughti’s National Assembly and Provincial Assembly constituencies were released. He alleged that forms 45 of National Assembly and Provincial Assembly constituencies in district Dera Bughti of Balochistan province were tempered, adding that Balochistan was being pushed towards anarchy.

Four parties alliance hold protest against poll rigging: Four parties alliance will launch protest movement against rigged election in Balochistan so that people’s mandate could not be trampled in the future. This was stated by leaders while addressing a protest demonstration held outside Dalbandin Press Club under the aegis of four parties alliance on Friday.

Addressing the protest demonstration, the leaders said winning candidates were defeated through rigging in election, adding seats won by Chairman, PKMAP, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, leader of BNP-P, Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, President, National Party, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch and seats won by the representatives of Hazara community were given to someone others.

They said people of those constituencies were not aware how their representatives were elected, adding that protests were being observed across the province against rigging in election. They said four parties alliance, including Pushtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Balochistan National Party-Mengal, National Party and Hazar Democratic Party, would launch protest movement in the province against rigged elected.

The protest demonstration was addressed by member provincial working committee, National Party, Sardar Rafique Shair, district General Secretary, Balochistan National Party (Mengal), Waqar Reki, district spokesman, BNP-M, Mir Ibrahim Reki, district Coordination Secretary, NP, Muhammad Bakhsh Baloch, Tehsil Secretary, Ghulamullah Baloch and others.

Earlier, workers of Pushtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Balochistan National Party-Mengal, National Party, Hazar Democratic Party and Baloch Students Organization-Bijar took out a protest rally. Chanting slogans against rigging in election and tempering election results, participants of the rally marched through different roads of Dalbandin city and reached Dalbandin Press Club where a protest demonstration was held.
