India changes visa policy for Pakistani citizens with dual citizenship

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: India has changed the visa policy for Pakistani citizens with dual citizenship in a major diplomatic move.

According to new rules, now Pakistanis with dual citizenship will be able to submit Indian visa applications only on Pakistani passports.

The Indian government’s move will affect millions of overseas Pakistanis.

The Indian government have also made it mandatory for those who wanted to apply on other countries’ passport to produce renunciation of Pakistani citizenship and also provide a copy of their Pakistani visa or Pakistan Origin Card.

The third generation of Pakistanis in the UK have started submitting applications to renounce their Pakistani citizenship, which is a major concern for Pakistanis living in the UK.
