UTTAR PRADESH: As many as 49 children have been died in one month in the hospital of Indian state of Uttar Pradesh because lack of oxygen supply in the hospital.
As per the Indian media, the deaths were reported at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Farrukhabad city between July 21 and August 20. In one month total 30 children died at the hospital’s unit for newborns, while 19 died during birth because the hospital was not able to provide oxygen supply on time.
The same incident was happened in Gorakhpur where at least 64 children died in six days at a government hospital in August.
The government has transferred Farrukhabad district magistrate and two top medical officials over the tragedy.
