India withheld flood data from Pakistan, says FO

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office has stated that India has not provided Pakistan with complete details regarding floods at the diplomatic level.

According to the FO spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, India informed Pakistan about floods once through diplomatic channels, but this is not the established procedure between the two countries. While India shared some details with Pakistan, it did not provide the Foreign Office with complete information.

FO spokesperson said India is involved in terrorism inside Pakistan, ” we have shared evidence with the international community and friendly countries that India’s role in fueling terrorism in Pakistan is well-proven.”

The FO spokesperson further said that Afghanistan must ensure its soil is not used against Pakistan.

He said the Afghan citizens waiting to travel to Germany should be evacuated as soon as possible, and Germany must expedite their relocation.

He strongly condemned Israeli attacks in Khan Younis, saying Israel targeted hospitals and journalists and continues to violate human rights.

The spokesperson added that PM Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to China was highly successful. On the invitation of the Chinese President, the Prime Minister attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit and met several key leaders.

According to the FO spokesperson, the PM highlighted the Afghanistan issue at the SCO and emphasized bilateral dialogue with Afghanistan.
