Indian troops martyr 4 Kashmiri youth in Srinagar

SRINAGAR (AFP): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred four Kashmiri youth in Srinagar, today.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops killed three youth during a violent cordon and search operation in Chattabal area of Srinagar. Earlier, an Indian soldier was injured in an attack in the same area.

Meanwhile, massive protests, marked by clashes between the demonstrators and the Indian forces’ personnel, erupted in Chattabal and its adjoining areas. Indian police and troops used brute force to disperse the protesters. The protests later spread to many other areas of Srinagar.

A vehicle of Indian forces deliberately hit a civilian, Aadil Ahmed, during clashes in Safa Kadal area of Srinagar. Aadil was rushed to SMHS hospital but succumbed on the way. Witnesses said that the dead body was taken away by the policemen just outside the SMHS hospital. Many people including three photojournalists have sustained injuries during the use of brute force on protesters by the Indian troops and police personnel.

The puppet authorities have snapped internet services in Srinagar to prevent people from sharing information about the situation in Chattabal.

Hurriyat forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, commenting on a video where a police vehicle could be seen knocking down a youth in Srinagar said that a murder was committed by forces and the same was denied then.

Taking to Twitter, Mirwaiz said: “How a murder was committed by the forces today and then brazenly denied!.”

“Is there no sense of humanity left in India?”Mirwaiz said in another tweet.

The Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has expressed shock and grief over the fresh killings by the men in uniform in Srinagar including the cold-blooded murder of civilian Aadil Ahmad Yadoo.

Terming the killings as unfortunate, a DFP spokesman in a statement said, “Our youngsters are being killed on one pretext or the other and the aim of the ongoing genocide is only to terrify the freedom-loving Kashmiris.”
