Indian troops martyr youth in occupied Kashmir

HAJIN: In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred one Kashmiri youth in Hajin town of Bandipora district, on Thursday. The troops martyred the youth during a violent cordon and search operation in Mir Mohalla area.

Earlier, one Indian policeman and a soldier were injured in an attack in Warpora. Two Indian policemen, including a Station House Officer, were injured in a grenade blast in Sopore town, today. Several people sustained injuries when Indian forces’ personnel fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells on peaceful protesters in the town. An Indian soldier opened fire on his colleagues killing three of them at an army camp in Battal Ballian area of Udhampur district.

Meanwhile, on the call of Joint Resistance Leadership a large number of people including traders held a demonstration outside historic Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta area of Srinagar, on Thursday, against the killing of a school principal, Rizwan Asad, in police custody. On the other hand, Paris-based human rights organization, International Federation for Human Rights, an amalgam of 184 organisations from 112 countries, in a briefing note maintained that since 1990, more than 70,000 people have been killed, more than 8,000 subjected to enfor-ced disappearances and thousands arrested and detained  by Indian forces in IOK.
