India’s Manushi Chhillar crowned Miss World 2017

MUMBAI: Manushi Chhillar of Indian won the Miss World title and brought home the crown after 17 years when Priyanka Chopra was crowned in 2000.

As per the Indian media, Manushi is a 21 year old medical student from Haryana and she competed against 108 other contestants to bag the title at the Miss World. The event was held at Sanya City Arena in China.

Stephanie Del Valle, Miss World 2016 winner, passed on the coveted crown to the new queen.

England, France, Kenya and Mexico made it to the top 5 sports in the pageant along with India. Andrea Meza of Mexico was named 1st runner-up and Stephanie Hill of England 2nd.
