India’s NIA again issues summons to Zafar Butt

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: India’s infamous National Investigation Agency (NIA) has again issued summons to the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has asked the JKSM Chairman to present himself before the probe agency at its headquarters in New Delhi on Saturday, Kashmir Media Service reported.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) in February had raided Zafar Butt’s residence at Bagh-e-Mehtab in Srinagar and searched his residence for hours.

Earlier, the JKSM chairman had been asked to appear before the NIA at its New Delhi headquarters on April 19.

Meanwhile, the JKSM in a statement in Srinagar termed the summoning of party Chairman by the NIA to Delhi for questioning as extremely condemnable and said that such attempts to suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom struggle were bound to fail.
