India’s notorious agency NIA summons APHC leader

ISLAMABAD: In occupied Kashmir, Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has appealed to the international community and the world human rights organizations to prevail upon India to stop its revengeful policy against the Kashmiri people.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar said India has waged a war against the Kashmiris on every front. He said daily killings in the name of operation all-out have put every conscious individual within the firing range of coercive measures. However, he pointed out that despite using its military might, New Delhi will fail to crush the Kashmiris’ legitimate struggle for their right to self-determination.

A delegation of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq-led Hurriyat forum visited the residence of ailing Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Yasin Malik, in Srinagar. The delegation expressed solidarity with the family of the seriously ill freedom leader.

Meanwhile, in continuation of its services for the Indian government to harass the Hurriyat leadership, the National Investigation Agency has summoned Anees-ul-Islam, the grandson of APHC Chairman Syed Ali Gilani, in the name of questioning at its Delhi headquarters on Monday. .

APHC AJK chapter in a meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday, said that the people of Kashmir have offered sacrifices for the right to self-determination and not for fraudulent polls.

Kashmiri representative, Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl, addressing a press conference in Islamabad, said that the longstanding conflict over Jammu and Kashmir has jeopardized the peace, prosperity and development of the entire South Asia besides bringing death and destruction in occupied Kashmir.
