Indonesian police officer killed in shooting incident in Papua province

TIMIKA: Police spokesman, Suryadi Diaz told Indonesian media that an Indonesian police officer was killed and other was injured when the attackers opened fire on them in the giant copper mine area of Papua province of Indonesia on Wednesday.

He added that police officers were targeted early morning. He added that several attacks on police forces were reported in the area since August when at least ten persons including two police officers were killed and they blamed the police force to assisting them and linked to the separatist’s rebels.
