Inter-Provincial Public Transport will be banned on weekends

ISLAMABAD: Inter Provincial Public Transport will be banned for two days a week, confirmed Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA) on Monday.

Mentioning the details about the decision, ICTA has banned Inter-provincial public transport on Saturday and Sunday. The action has been taken to contain further outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.

According to the official notification, the ban would be imposed from midnight 9/10 April 2021,and will remain effective till midnight 25/26 April 2021.

Noting that all the standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding coronavirus would be strictly enforced in the remaining 05 days, the notification reads.

Other than this, the notification stated that ban would not be valid on private vehicles and goods/freight/medical and other emergency services transport.
