Interior Minister directs relief, rescue operation in rain-hit Karachi areas

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has directed DG Rangers, Sindh to utilise all resources in the rescue and relief operation in flood affected areas hit by torrential rain in Karachi.

Interior Minister during a telephonic conversation directed DG Rangers to set up relief camps to secure the affectees and assist the civil administration.

“In this time of crisis, federal government stands shoulder to shoulder with the citizens of Karachi,” Ahsan Iqbal said. Interior Minister also observed that natural calamities were disasters and collective efforts were required in such situation.
