Interior Minister meets cricket team members

KABUL (Agencies): Country’s Acting Minister of Interior Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, met with members of the Afghan national cricket team.
During a meeting, the Acting Minister of Interior, in addition to praising their good performance in the past, encouraged them by expressing all-round support to participate in future competitions, a statment said by the Ministry.
Minister Haqqani called the national cricket team representatives of the country and expressed hope that, as always, besides playing good games, they will present the best image of the country and the proud Muslim people in all their actions.
While, expressing their satisfaction, the members of the national cricket team expressed their appreciation for the support and encouragement of the Acting Minister of Interior.
The country’s national cricket team recently played a very good game in the Asian Nations Cup against strong Asian teams, and from tomorrow they will start their journey to participate in the 2022 World Cup, which starts next month.
