Iran-based Afghan female protesters announce boycott of Doha meeting

KABUL (Amu TV): A group of Afghan women protesters in Iran held a demonstration to announce their boycott of the upcoming Doha meeting, which they described as granting concessions to the Taliban.

The protesters characterized “engagement with the Taliban” as engagement with “misogynistic” movements. They argued that women in Afghanistan are suffering from “oppression and suppression” and called for the ensuring of human and women’s rights in the country.

The Doha meeting, involving special envoys from various countries and organizations focused on Afghanistan, is set to begin on Sunday. Envoys from 30 countries and institutions will participate in the third round of discussions to address the situation in Afghanistan.
