MUMBAI: Despite being just two film old, Ishaan Khatter has already proved that he has what it takes to be a part of the big league in Bollywood. He made his debut with Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds and was later seen a more commercial project with Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak, which also marked Janhvi Kapoor’s Bollywood debut. While we are still waiting for his next project to be announced, recent rumours sure make it seem like exciting times lie ahead for the young actor.
If reports are to be believed, Ishaan is all set to feature in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next project. A source close to the project has claimed that the actor has been approached for an interesting role but the confirmation is yet to come. The source said, “Sanjay sir was quite impressed with Ishaan in Dhadak. He has offered the role in his next to the young actor. However, the formalities are yet to be worked out. The film is still in the initial stages and Ishaan is yet to sign on the dotted line.” An official announcement on the same is expected to be made soon.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali worked with Ishaan’s brother Shahid Kapoor in his last venture Padmaavat in which the actor played the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh. The film was a magnum opus that also featured Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in lead roles.
