Islamabad bans motorcycles in high security zone

ISLAMABAD (NNI): The entry of motorcycles into Islamabad’s high security zone is set to be banned from November 1.

The federal government has taken a major step and issued instructions to the police and the capital city administration for implementation.

According to sources, the entry of motorcycles into the high security zone, which includes important government offices, superior court, and foreign embassies, will be banned from November 1.

According to a new strategy prepared by the administration and the police, motorcycles will be parked at the Convention Center from where a shuttle service will be operated to enter the high security zone.

This decision has been taken to control the traffic flow into the high security zone.

An alternate route would have to be used to travel to and from Bari Imam. Instructions have been issued to the police and administration to implement the ban.
