Islamabad calls for judicial inquiry into killing of innocent Kashmiris

F.P Report

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s official authorities informed that demand for transparent judicial inquiry and international scrutiny of extra-judicial killing of 3 Kashmiris after the confession of crime by the Indian armed forces.

This is being considered as a visible proof of Indian Armed Forces terrorism and genocide of Kashmiris.

Pakistan has also called for international scrutiny of 3 Kashmir’s that were killed by Indian armed forces. Indian armed forces have been targeting Kashmiri women, children, old citizens and men without batting an eye.

Sources have revealed that the Indian occupation forces had martyred 25-year old Imtiyaz Ahmed, 20-year old Mohammad Ibrar, and 16-year old Abrar Ahmed in so-called “cordon and search” operation in Shopian on 18 July 2020.

A 23-year-old young man in Indian-administered Kashmir was also allegedly killed in police custody Tuesday night, according to his family.

The deceased, identified as Irfan Ahmad Dar of Northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district, was arrested by police at his home at around 12.45 p.m. (0715GMT) Tuesday while his elder brother Javed Ahmad Dar was also arrested by the police on the same day but soon released after his health deteriorated.

A day after his arrest, Kashmir zone police blamed Dar for giving logistical support to militants and claimed he died after escaping from their custody, without giving any convincing explanation about how the man fled from police custody in the heavily militarized region.

Waheed Ahmad Dar, the deceased’s elder brother, told The Frontier Posts that his brother had been killed in cold blood, a claim the police deny.

“Yesterday they police took him away for questioning, giving reasons that some militants came to our home,” said Waheed Dar.

Foreign Office informed in a statement, the young Kashmiri boys had come from Rajouri to work in apple orchard as laborers.

In a statement issued on September 18, the Indian Army accepted that the powers vested under the draconian Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) were exceeded.

“The international community must take immediate cognizance of the 18 July 2020 episode in IIOJK as well as other acts indicative of the RSS-BJP regime’s genocidal tendencies and hold it accountable for continuing crimes against the Kashmiri people,” the Foreign Office spokesperson said.

The Indian Armed Forces have declared the three innocent Kashmiris as “unidentified terrorists”. In addition, the human remains were not handed over to the devastated families. Pakistan has been consistently highlighting the brutalities and violence being conducted by Indian Armed Forces on the Kashmiris. Pakistan has somehow internationalized the humanitarian issue of Kashmiri people.

Pakistan called for international action unilaterally against the brutalities of IAF in Kashmir. The use of pallet guns of children, women, elders, burning of homes, rape cases, forced disappearances, torture in custody are all against grave human rights violation that are being conducted by IAF, the statement added. Pakistan urged for international action against Indian brutalization of Indian Armed Forces, more than 300 Kashmiris have been killed in extra-judicial killings by IAF.

Most of these people are young men, who are killed under the label of fake encounters and fake “cordon and search” operations in just one year, added the spokesperson. All these brutalities cannot take away the “right of self-determination” from Kashmiris, Pakistan clarified.
