Islamabad police warns of action if Section 144 violated

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad administration has imposed Section 144 in the federal territory after the arrest of former premier and PTI Chairman Imran Khan by the Rangers in the Qadir Trust case, on Tuesday.

The Islamabad IG police said that situation in Islamabad is normal. He said Imran Khan has been arrested in the Qadir Trust case and Section 144 is in force and action will be taken in case of violation.

The ICT police further said that no violence was done to any individual. There is a police cordon around Imran Khan’s car.

After Imran’s arrest in Islamabad, a contingent of Lahore police has been dispatched to his Zaman Park residence.

On the other hand, a club-wielding PTI workers’ force has taken control of Imran’s Lahore abode.
