KABUL (BNA) In a statement, Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, vehemently denied the findings of a United Nations Security Council report regarding the existence of Al-Qaeda centers in Afghanistan. He also dismissed allegations of any involvement by certain groups within the country. Addressing the media, Mr. Mujahid criticized member countries of the Security Council, accusing them of initiating a regular program aimed at accusing the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. He asserted that these accusations stem from the frustration of those member countries who have faced failures in Afghanistan. Appealing to other member countries of the Security Council, particularly those with diplomatic ties to Afghanistan, Mr. Mujahid urged them to prevent the situation within the international organization from deteriorating. He cautioned against allowing the Security Council’s decisions to become entangled in the political aspirations of a few countries. Reiterating the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to peace and stability, Mr. Mujahid assured the international community that Afghanistan’s territory would not be utilized as a base for any hostile activities against any nation.
