ISPR: 4 soldiers martyred as forces foil attack from Afghanistan

RAWALPINDI: In a trade of fire between the TTP militants and security forces in Zhob district, four security personnel embraced martyrdom while three terrorists were killed, on Friday.

According to the military’s media wing, ISPR, the proscribed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists from Afghanistan tried to infiltrate Pakistan. However, the security forces foiled their attempt.

ISPR said that the incident took place on the evening of September 28 in Sambaza area of Zhob district. Four soldiers were martyred fighting bravely in the clash.

The martyrs include Havaldar Sattar, Lance Naik Sher Azam, Lance Naik Adnan, and Sepoy Nadeem.

Three terrorists were killed and several others injured in the fierce exchange of fire between the security forces and the militants, the ISPR said adding that the security forces would continue to thwart the efforts of the enemies of peace and prosperity of the country.
