PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zafar Iqbal Jhagra Wednesday said that the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) government was committed on FATA reforms and its merger and the matter would be resolved soon in this regard.
The PML-N government had taken initiated of FATA reforms and worked with dedication on it as the PML-N wanted to give FATA people their due rights, he said talking to a private news channel. He said former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif gave special instructions to develop consensus on the matter with all stake holders. Meetings were also held on reforms with members of the Parliament from FATA, he added. The governor dispelled the impression that the government was trying to delay the FATA reforms bill. He said those political parties who were making noise on the subject, never raised it in the past. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said if any political party wanted to cooperate the government on the matter, that would be welcomed.
