Janjua arrives in Kabul

KABUL: A delegation of civil and military officials of Pakistan met deputy foreign minister for politics Hikmat Khalil Karzai here on Monday (April 02).

According to a foreign ministry press release available with Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) the Pakistani delegation led by Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua arrived in Kabul today.

The delegation met Afghan deputy minister for politics Hikmat Khalil Karzai. Both the sides discussed a joint plan of Afghanistan and Pakistan for peace and reconciliation.

They agreed to continue meetings and negotiations. Despite developments in this regard, some basic issues are still to be resolved, the press release stated.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is expected to pay visit to Kabul on April 06.
