JI announces office bearers for Adenzai

TIMERGARA: The Lower Dir chapter of Jamaat-i-Islami on Wednesday announced its tehsil office bearers in Adenzai for the next term. The JI district emir Maulana Asadullah administered oath to the newly elected office bearers during a function held at Gulabad. Party sources said that Prof Abdul Khabir was elected as tehsil emir, Rehman Yousaf as general secretary, Jehan Bahadar and Tufail Ahmad as deputy general secretaries, Dr Zahir Khan and advocate Gul Muhammad as naib emir for 2018-19. Registered party members took part in election held through secret ballets.

Speaking on the occasion Maulana Asadullah asked the party members to expedite their mass contact drive and make efforts to convince more people to join the JI. He said the JI had been struggling for reforming society through peaceful and democratic means.

He said the JI was the most popular party in Dir and heavy responsibilities lied on the shoulders of its workers to maintain this status in future too. The newly elected tehsil emir Prof Abdul Khabir and general secretary Rehman Yousaf also spoke on the occasion.
