JI chief extends full support to govt over tension with India

LAHORE: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday visited Jamaat-e-Islami headquarters located at Mansoora in Lahore and held a detailed meeting with Ameer Hafiz Naeem Rehman.

During the meeting, both sides discussed latest situation at the Line of Control (LoC) amid rising tensions between Pakistan and India.

Mohsin Naqvi also informed Hafiz Naeemur Rehman about the decisions taken at the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting.

On this occasion, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman endorsed Pakistan’s principled stand and assured the interior minister of JI’s full support in this regard.

Talking with the Interior Minister, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the Indian government should take bold decisions to defuse tensions.

The JI chief also exchanged views about the current situation of Palestine with Mohsin Naqvi.

Mohsin Naqvi said that India wanted to destroy peace in the region and there is also a conspiracy behind even Indian political think tanks and people had rejected Modi’s war hysteria.

He said that country’s brave armed forces are fully prepared to thwart India’s evil designs.
