JI to contest next elections under its own flag: Siraj

F.P. Report

TIMERGARA: Jamaat-i-Islami chief senator Siraj ul Haq has said that weak policies of the PTI government had confronted masses with miseries and hardships. Addressing the monthly congregation of JI here on Thursday night Mr Haq criticized the government for increasing Hajj expenses and termed it as blocking the way to Makkah and Medina.

The JI Lower Dir arranged the event which was addressed by former MNA Maulana Asadullah, Arshad Zaman and Hafiz Yaqub ur Rehman. Hundreds of party activists including former provincial minister for finance Muzafar Syed and former MNA Sahibzada Muhammad Yaqub attended the congregation.

Siraj said the PTI government had badly failed in its beginning to provide any relief to the masses. He said the country was leading toward disparity, default and backwardness owing to the PTI flawed policies.

The JI chief said no one felt protection of life as was clear from the incidents of Sahiwal and Loralai where innocent civilians were brutally killed. “Per capita income of each Pakistani today is less than that in India and Bangladesh,” the JI chief remarked, adding the present government too had been following policies of the previous rulers.

The JI chief said the PPP, PML-N and PTI had disappointed the nation while the JI was the last ray of hope for people of the country. He said the JI had a competent, dedicated and honest team across the country. He said his party would steer the country out of turmoil if given the chance to rule. He said the JI would contest next general elections under its own flag and manifesto as per suggestion of the JI central ‘shura’. The JI chief also inaugurated the newly constructed conference room at the JI district secretariat Balambat.
