JI’s Hafiz Naeem terms digital census ‘fraud’

KARACHI (NNI): Jamaat-e-Islami’s Karachi chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rahman has announced to set up a camp outside the Census Bureau office on Monday, and to hold a protest march on Shahrah-e-Faisal on April 30 against the digital census process. He rejected the census conducted so far during a press conference at Idara Noor-e-Haq in Karachi on Sunday, terming it a fraud under the guise of digital census. He also announced to create a portal regarding the census and contact the people from house to house.
Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has announced protest march on Shara-e-Faisal against ‘census fraud’.
Hafiz Naeem said that a protest camp will be held in front of the office of the census department. He alleged that a bigger fraud is being orchestrated in the digital census than the manual population census. “Karachi has been target in the census fraud,” he said. “Census has been untrained, while no oversight committee formed for monitoring,” JI chief said. “This occupation of the census count has not been acceptable,” he said. “Provincial and federal governments are hand in glove,” he alleged. He demanded an extension of one month in the population census. “Federal government should form a committee of the stakeholders for census oversight,” he demanded.
