Judicial Commission recommends appointment of Justice Hashim Kakar as BHC CJ

ISLAMABAD: The Judicial Commission of Pakistan recommended the appointment of Justice Hashim Khan Kakar as Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court (BHC) on Monday.

According to reports, the judicial commission meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa was held and reviewed the appointment of judges.

The commission also recommended the permanence of six additional judges of the Sindh High Court (SHC) in the meeting and sent the matter to the Parliamentary Committee for final approval.

It is worth mentioning that Justice Hashim Khan Kakar is currently the Acting Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court.

The commission recommended six additional judges of the Sindh High Court including Justice Amjad Ali Bohio, Justice Muhammad Abdul Rehman, Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro, Justice Sana Akram Minhas, Justice Arbab Ali Hakro, and Justice Jawad Akbar Sarwana.
