JUI-F boycotts election of NA speaker and deputy speaker

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam of Maulana Fazlur Rehman opted to boycott the election of speaker and deputy speaker in the National Assembly on Friday.

Shahida Akhtar Ali said their party’s strategy is crystal clear as they will not take part in any election process in the National Assembly.

Shahid Akhtar said “The JUI-F will sit on the opposition benches until it gets its mandate.”

It may be mentioned here that the PTI leaders met JUI-F leadership on Thursday night seeking support for their candidates contesting elections of prime minister, speaker and deputy speaker in the National Assembly.
